You can never go wrong doing what Solomon did here, what he as a leader asked God for. He prayed this before the Ark of the Covenant. He got an answer right away. He prayed for what he needed (not wanted).

8 And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.
9 Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.
Thank you for your reply. On further research I don't see cremation as a wrong practice. Some good guys were also cremated in God's word. Dust to dust my brother, just hastened into dust faster.
In my personal walk with the Lord, because all of our walk with the Lord is personal, I ask that his will is done. and in asking his will to be done in my life he gives me his spirit to ask him of his wisdom. What a great GOD we serve.
Solomon's up bringing by his father David gave him a love for the Lord. The next generation can only learn to love the Lord through the deliberate reading, teaching and learning who God is from Scripture. To learn to love Him, and learning to trust and pray to the Lord. We must also teach the next generation how to wait on the Lord.
The first thing Solomon did was to worship the Lord at the altar and offered up 1,000 sacrifices to the Lord. The Lord God appears before Solomon and blesses him with wisdom, wealth, and peace at the borders.
Solomon used the wisdom he received from God to build up the country to the majesty befitting a country whose God is the Lord. Matthew 11:28-30; Matt 6:33
Alters are prepared by men of God to sermon Him to listen to their prayers and God in His own wisdom descends with blessings. The same way witches, warlocks, voodoo also sermons the spirits the unbeliever on their alters and descends upon them all manner of courses.

Well Solomon was the only one of his kind with wisdom which no one has ever obtain yet very young and because of God's favor on him he gained favour from every one
David taught Solom matters of the heart In all you do do with thought for not just self But God and Solom knew that God honored The heart as he did David's heart No just for self but for many Kingdom building and you need wisdom For that so what he asked God for he Already had in order to ask for wisdom Is a wise move
God is really great. Faithful and true forever. He can never change. So if we follow what Solomon did, God will also add other thing to our life. "seek ye first the kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you "
WHEN WE SEEK FOR WISDOM AND WE ASK FOR GOD 'S WILL TO BE DONE IN OURS LIVES GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF US HIS PEOPLE BUT WE AS HIS CHILDERN MUST GIVE HIM ALL OF US TOTALLY
In my Life Application version of the Bible the notes express Wisdom is the ability to make good decisions based on proper discernment and judgment. Knowledge, in this verse, refers to the practical know how necessary for handling everyday matters. Wisdom applies knowledge!
According to II Chron. 1:10-12,
