    John 5:17 - My JESUS said: My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

    GOD sent JESUS in the turn from the fourth Day to the fifth Day, i.e. around 4000 years after Adam, and around 1500 years after Moses. As JESUS said, GOD the Father still was working, in fact until the end of the recent last millennium, the sixth millennium.

    Based in the Word of God,on GOD's six Days of creation and one Day of rest(a total of seven days)plus the Scriptures that teach that one Day is with the Lord as a thousand years,so MANKIND would go through six GOD Days of 1,000 years each(a total of 6000 years)plus a Millennium of 1000 years rest(now a total of 7,000 years)

    Biblical Chronology - Genesis 5:

    Adam lived ..........................130 yrs-begat Seth

    Seth lived ............................105 yrs-begat Enosh;

    Enosh lived ............................90 yrs-begat Kenan;

    Kenan lived.............................70 yrs-begat Mahalalel;

    Mahalalel lived ........................65 yrs-begat Jared;

    Jared lived ............................162 yrs-begat Enoch;

    Enoch lived .............................65 yrs-begat Methuselah;

    Methuselah lived......................187 yrs-begat Lamech;

    Lamech lived...........................182 yrs-begat Noah;

    From Noahs birth until the Flood.......600 yrs.

    Total years from Adam to the Flood=1656 years

    SIX PERIODS OF BIBLICAL TIMES ---------------------- DURATION

    I- From Adam to the Flood-(Gen.5)----------------------1656 years

    II- From the Flood to Abraham-( Gen. 11&12)-------------427 years

    III- From Abraham to Exodus-(Gal.3:17)------------------430 years

    IV-From Exodus to king Saul-(1Reis6:1(480-84)----------396 years

    V-From Saul to the fall of Jerusalem -----------------------508 years

    VI-From the fall of Jerusalem to Jesus ---------------------587 years

    Thus,from Adam to the 1st coming of Jesus -------------4004 years

    From Jesus to our days(Christian Calendar)---------------2023 years

    Total from Adam to our days ------------------------- ---6027 years

    Hey Oseas,

    If you do not mind me asking, what text or Bible did you use to do your calculation? Just curious about where you got the information.

    God bless,

    Hey Ronald Whittemore,

    In consideration of your request and for your verification, I am sending what I was able to conclude in my private Bible study, as follows:

    The Bible I use is King James Version -> Biblegateway

    SIX PERIODS OF BIBLICAL TIMES --------------------------- DURATION

    I- From Adam to the Flood-( Genesis 5:1-32 plus 7:11)-----1656 years

    II- From the Flood to Abraham-( Genesis 11:10-32 & 12:4---427 years

    III- From Abraham to Exodus-( Galatians 3:17)---------------430 years

    IV-From Exodus to king Saul-(1Reis6:1(480 minus 84 yrs)--396 years

    V-From Saul to Jerusalem's fall(1095-587BC)----------------508 years

    (my source: Biblical Dictionary)

    VI-From the fall of Jerusalem (587BC) to Jesus --------------587 years --> Total = 4004 years

    (source: Biblical Dictionary)

    That's what I have to report. I hope it helps,

    GOD bless

    Hi Oseas,

    You mentioned Bible Dictionary. Can you give more details as to the publisher and whether from any specific denomination or sects? Your Jewish calendar, and I quote "Through Jewish calendar the Jewish people use it for counting time and commemorating birthdays, festivities, weddings, deaths, religious celebrations and other solemnities. According to the Hebrews, the years are counted from what they believe to be the creation of Adam" is not how the Spirit uses the genealogies in OT and Nt. " Jesus said "Before Abraham was, I am". St Paul inspired by the same Holy Spirit gives Jesus Christ as the benchmark. By him all things consist and it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell. (Col1:15-19). Being a Jew does not make his calendar correct.

    Hi Bennymkje

    In response to you request, my Bible is written in Portuguese, translated by Joo Ferreira de Almeida, printed by Imprensa Bblica Brasileira, created in 1940, adding a system of biblical references, and a concise or compact biblical dictionary translated from English by Dr. S.L. Watson and wife, Mrs Ana, former missionaries in Brazil.

    I'm from Brazil, I live in the south of Brazil, close to Argentina, now it's 1.05 AM here.

    As for the Jewish calendar, I agree with you, saying, "Being a Jew does not make his calendar correct", and That's exactly what I tried to demonstrate in my post yesterday, asking the following question: How to explain the difference of exactly 240 years in the Jewish calendar? In my understanding, I find this difference in the calendar of a genuinely biblical people created and developed by GOD very strange.

    So I suggested three specifics events at facts that are a stain on the nation's history of Israel , actually shameful events in the history of Israel as probable causes of the difference between the Jewish calendar and the Biblical Chronology. The three events are:

    1-The Jewish Calendar begins in Seth, not in Adam, so we have less 130 years here;

    2-Jews do not consider their 40 years of wandering in the desert, from Egypt to the promised land;

    3-They do not consider also their shameful 70 years of captivity in Babylon.

    What other explanation could there be that would justify this difference of exactly 240 years?

    NOTE:Not only their calendar is a nonsense,biblicaly uncorrect,as we all can see,but also a devilish colection of fictitious GOD's NAMES that they added in the Jewish Bible by their esoteric, and kabbalistic and spiritist spirit, even calling GOD's name through four capital letters YHWH or YHVH among other nine pseudo names,which are not named by the Holy Spirit,but by the spirit of the Evil,the Wicked- John 8:44.The true and only NAME of GOD is revealed, for example, in Acts 4:11-13 and Hebrews 1:8.

    GOD bless

    Greetings in Christ JESUS, Ecalarese

    Thank you for your significative reply.

    You know that "no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of GOD spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit".2Pe.1:20-21.

    The author to the Hebrews wrote: Hebrews 1:1-3

    1 GOD, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

    2 Hath in these last days(last two GODs' Days or last around 2000 years) spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds;

    3 Who being the brightness of His glory, and the EXPRESS IMAGE of GOD's Person( John 10:30 combined with John 5:17), and upholding all things by the Word of His power( Matthew 28:18), when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

    Hallelujah!!!

    And Paul Apostle wrote : 2Timothy 3:16-17

    16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

    17 That the man of GOD may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

    GOD BLESS

    To the only wise GOD our Saviour, be Glory and Majesty, Dominion and Power, both now and ever. Amen.

    Thanks, Oseas,

    I understand your zeal which is good and not so popular in this wannabe culture. I pray God that God opens your study to understand His will concerning you. Only then you shall understand the wonderful treasure which we have in the Bible. The more you dip into the more it has to give you. I did not find any discrepancy in the passages written by so many hands in so many varying circumstance but the same Holy Ghost the third office in Trinity. He will not speak of himself but he gives glory to God.

    Study these verses prayerfully. It is God's promise to you. "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

    14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

    15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you." Treat is as God requiring you to attend so you may be an effective witness for you.

    In Jesus' precious name,

    Hello Bennymkje

    Thanks for your kind reply

    Honestly, when I read these verses that you quoted I feel as I was caught up, because I see JESUS as if he were speaking to me in person, not as if I were merely reading biblical texts. JESUS really promised: Unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance... Matthew 25:29

    Amen

    Brother (sister?) Ecalarese

    Greetings

    It is of your knowledge that the Word of GOD is from everlasting to everlasting.

    You know the Word is GOD, GOD Himself, great mystery( Matthew 11:27). No man hath seen GOD at any time (invisible GOD)- John 1:18- , the only begotten Son, which was in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him. Because in the beginning -i.e. in JESUS- , was the Word-GOD Himself-, the Word was made flesh- John 1:14 combined with the Word given to the prophet Isaiah 9:6, among other prophetic references- , great mystery. The Word was GOD - and is GOD, GOD Himself, - from everlasting to everlasting.

    1 Cor. 2:9-10

    9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which GOD hath prepared for them that love Him.

    10 But GOD hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of GOD.

    Revelation 10:7

    But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the MYSTERY of GOD should be finished, as He hath declared to His servants the prophets.

    But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the Truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the Truth. 1John 2:20-21.

    Hallelujah!

    GOD bless

    Amen, sister Ellen

    I exceedingly appreciated your reply

    As you know, the kings of Israel chosen by GOD they were anointed with oil by the prophets of the Lord.

    To be anointed with oil is to be separated as GOD's chosen one- Matthew 25:31-34. Take a look. The true chosen ones of the Lord are prudent and wise, they have lamp to shine as they walk in the world of darkness, and enough oil to keep the lamp burning to meet the Lord, the bridegroom, and be saved. By the way, He said: Revelation 3:11-13:

    11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no one take thy crown.

    12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my GOD, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my GOD, and the name of the city of my GOD, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my GOD: and I will write upon him my new name.

    13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

    Att all times, let your garments be white, and let oil not be wanting on your head - Ecclesiastes 9:8.

    Revelation 19:5-8:

    5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our GOD, all ye His servants, and ye that fear Him, both small and great.

    6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord GOD Omnipotent reigneth.

    7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.

    8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

    Regarding mystery of GOD, I have already commented in prior posts, our Lord JESUS-the Word made flesh- spoke of this in Matthew 11:27, and according His promise, unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance. Hallelujah!.

    May our Lord GOD bless and keep us, and give us His protection

    Amen

    Greetings in Christ JESUS,sisters Ellen and Momsage

    Praise our Lord JESUS Christ,which is,and which was,and which is to come,the Almighty.Aleluia!

    Yes,the Word is GOD.Once the Word of GOD is in your heart,it is GOD dwelling within you,understand?in your heart,and is everlasting Life,understand?Aleluia.

    Our conversation is in heaven(heaven?Ephesians1:3-8 & 2:6-10);from whence also we look for the Saviour,the Lord Jesus Christ:Who shall change our vile body,that it may be fashione like unto His glorious body,according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself- Philippians 3:20-21.

    JESUS assured us,saying:Jo.7:38-39:->38 He that believes on Me,as the Scripture has said,out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

    39This spake He of the Spirit,which they that believe on Him should receive.

    GOD is Spirit,as our Lord JESUS said,and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth-Jo.4:24.

    JESUS said:Jo.5:24-25

    24Verily,I say unto you,He that hears my Word,and believes on Him that sent me,has everlasting life,and shall not come into condemnation;but is passed from death unto life.

    25...The hour is coming,and now is,when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of GOD:and they that hear shall live.

    The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. Cor.12:8-11:

    8For to one is given by the Spirit the Word of wisdom;to another the Word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

    9To another faith;to another the gifts of healing;

    10To another the working of miracles;to another prophecy;to another discerning of spirits;to another divers kinds of tongues;to another the interpretation of tongues:

    11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit,dividing to every one severally as He will.

    Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of GOD, which is in you, aleluia.

    Our Lord JESUS promised us,saying:Unto every one that has shall be given,and he shall have abundance- Matthew 25:29.Aleluia.

    Hi Oseas,

    Thank you, I made chronological charts years back and I know how hard it is and how much time it takes, considering the different texts like the Hebrew Masoretic, Greek Septuagint, and others.

    And other things like the age of Terah when Abram/Abraham was born in Genesis 11:26 he is 70 years old, in Genesis 11:32 Terah was 205 years old when he died. In Genesis 12:1-4 it sounds like Abram/Abraham left Haran after his father died when he was 75 years old. We have to consider did he leave before or after Terah died that would make a 60-year difference. Thanks again.

    God bless,

    Hey Ronald

    Regarding the doubts exposed in your and Momsage's posts, only for information what I concluded from the Word of GOD, in my particular study, about the 2nd biblical period -> II period - From the Flood to Abraham
  • Momsage - In Reply - 7 months ago
    Hello Ronald: Question: how does Genesis 12: 1-4 say that Terah is dead? God Bless :)
  • Ronald Whittemore - In Reply - 7 months ago
    Hi Momsage,

    There are discussions or debates on the chronology of the age of Terah when Abraham was born. In Genesis 11:26 Terah was 70 years old and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran, in Genesis 11:32 Terah lived to be 205 years old. In Genesis 12:1-4 it looks like God did not call Abraham out until after Terah died, and in verse 4 it says Abraham was at that time 75 years old. If Terah lived to 205 years old and Abraham was 75 when God called him out after Terah died that would make Terah 130 years old when Abraham was born.

    The other verse used is in Acts when Stephen was giving his defense, basically a step-by-step of Israel's troubles from Abraham to then. Speaking of Abraham in Acts 7:4 Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.

    If Terah was 205 when he died, and God did not call out Abraham until then and Abraham was 75 years old that would make Terah 130 years old when Abraham was born. If that is so it looks like a contradiction but if we look at Genesis 11:27-32 it is clear Haran was the oldest son of Terah and Lot, the son of Heran was a man of some age maybe not much younger than Abraham when God called out Abraham.

    If Terah was 70 when he began to have sons, all three were not born at the same time so Terah could very well have been 130 when Abraham was born. So, should it be 70 or 130? It does not change anything meaningful but discussions over chronological charts about 60 years.

    I hope this makes some kind of sense.

    God bless,

    RLW
  • Momsage - In Reply - 7 months ago
    Hey Ronald: In Genesis 12:1-4 You said: 'it looks like God did not call Abraham out until after Terah died." What is in the verse that makes you think so? I'm not being contrary and, of course, studying these time lines is interesting but if this is a contradiction, how does that line up with it being written by the Holy Ghost? God Bless :)
  • Ronald Whittemore - In Reply - 7 months ago
    Hey Momsage,

    I do not take you as being contrary and please forgive me, I am not the best at explaining some things, Scripture is the word of God given to us through the Holy Spirit by the prophets but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son and there are no contradictions, he that doubteth is damned. Man is who makes the contradictions. God called out Abraham when he was 75 years old, Genesis 12:4 and Genesis 12:1 this is after Terah died and Genesis 11:32 says he was 205 years old when he died. Acts 7:4 also says when his father was dead God removed Abraham into this land.

    We make the contradiction when we take Genesis 11:27 as saying Terah was 70 years old when Abraham was born. But it says Terah was 70 years old when he begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran, This is saying all three sons were born when Terah was 70 years old and we know that is impossible. Scripture is clear Haran was older because Lot was his son, Nahor married one of Haran's daughters and Haran died before his father Terah.

    We have two verses in Scripture that say God called out Abraham after Terah died Genesis 12:1 and Acts 7:4 and Genesis 11:32 says Terah was 205 years old when he died and Genesis 12:4 Abraham was 75 years old, this tells us Terah was 130 years old when Abraham was born, 205 minus 75 = 130 no contradiction.

    Studying the timelines is interesting, as knowing how many years from Adam to Abraham to Moses and on. But if we try to use these timelines for any purpose other than our enjoyment, we must know there are different texts and they all do not agree. We can only reach approximately the years from then and now. None of these charts will predict the second coming of Jesus.

    Hope this helps if not let me know.

    God bless,

    RLW
