I was just thinking last night that we haven't heard from you for a will. Glad to be able to share with you again.

I did not know that you work in health care.

Yes, there are so many problems like you you described going on in our society nowadays. People need the Lord so much and the feeling of hopelessness that these people feel is only magnified without Him. Satan is using mental illness, despair, stress, addiction to steal, kill, and destroy so many vulnerable people. At times, it happens to ones we least expect.

I wish we could know how to help these people better and recognize signs and symptoms in advance of some horrible action as you describe. I have two sons with anxiety/depression disorder and they are prodigals. I continue to pray for them to return to the Lord and support them in getting medical treatment to have the proper medications to keep them as normal as possible.

But, to say the least, it is worrisome, as at their ages (in their 30's) they are independent enough to blow me off completely and be destructive to themselves. But I offer up my worry and stress about my sons to Jesus daily and pray for them and speak to the Lord that I am confident in Him to care for my sons and to turn their hearts back to Him again.

Illicit means not allowed, improper, prohibited. Ora and anal sex is prohibited for all humans.

God tells us that the body is not made for fornication. "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification that ye should abstain from fornication, 1 Thess 4:3." The reason a person abstains from fornication in order to be holy is because fornication is the sin that makes a person unholy - unlike God.

In 1 Corinthians 6:13 it declares, "The body is not made for fornication, but for the Lord." The human body is not made for fornication and that includes the bodies of a man and his wife.

These are a few pertinent Scriptures for you to use, but if you're talking to an atheist who doesn't even believe in the existence of God, you would need to tell him/her about the reality of God through Creation, His sustaining of the worlds in space, His creation of humans with all their biological intricacies, His Love for all but judgement to those who spurn His Love & live selfish, sinful lives. I hear what you're asking, but I don't think relationships, whether intimate or not, are so 'cut & dry'. Apart from the woman's feelings & permissions, the man has to conduct himself in a pure manner before God & within himself. What the Lord states in His Word is always clear & should be adhered to concerning our thoughts & acts towards another. The word 'lust' is not just a desire for something, it is something so deep that it consumes our thoughts, our actions, indeed affects our whole being. Lust for anything, whether for another person or something else, is wrong, & demonstrates a misplaced & imbalanced desire. And in the sexual realm, if allowed to grow, it can become very gripping & consuming, which is sin.

When it comes to ourselves, we have to determine whether it is a genuine love or lust we have, whether our feelings towards another that's engaging our minds conform to the pattern laid out for us in the Word, even if the woman is unaware of our feelings. If your desire is genuine, i.e. you sense love deep in your heart or from some confirmation by the Spirit, then it is appropriate to make it known to the woman. Of course, if she is already 'taken' or has indicated that she doesn't want to pursue any contact with you at that level, then you would have to submit to it & leave her alone without pressuring her. It comes down to whether in any relationship, we want to please the Lord in our desire & behaviour. So if the relationship is not to be, are we prepared to let go of it & believe that God has prevented it for some reason, having something else or something better for us? And in time, we may just see the Wisdom of God in all this, as to those who are indeed His precious children to whom He gives His best.

God has showed us his goodness and he does not require a lot of us. This verse emphasizes three qualities that God requires of us and they are justice, mercy, and humility.

Without mercy, where would we be? Therefore love mercy moreover love your neighbor.

"He hath shewed thee, o man, what is good, and what does the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God"? Eccl.12:13 - Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and obey His commandments: For this is the whole duty of man." John 14:15 - :If ye love me, keep my commandments." This is what the WHOLE word of God is all about.

These are works that the child of God must actively participate in: be not hearers of the word only, but doers. God is calling for us to 1. do justly - make sure we are fair, not partial, nor be a respector of persons, but we treat everyone fairly and with love and respect; 2) love mercy..we have to have an intense desire to forgive people for things they may have done to us or show forbearance towards others - to show compassion; and finally, God wants us to walk humbly. We can't go around with our noses in the air thinking we're somehow better than other people. We should walk with meekness, modesty and with low degree..These are good works that God will write down in His book of remembrance.

Father God, we give thanks unto your word, because your word is powerful, living and sharper. Your word works in our lives. We give Glory.

Peter told us to humble thyself, under the mighty hand of God, and in due season He would exalt thee. Obedience is better than sacrifice. The Lord Jesus although He was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor, so that we through His poverty could become rich. Jesus gave us the greatest example how to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God. Jesus came down from heaven to do the Father's will. He did not call the righteous to repentance, but sinners. Thank God that He did, because all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God. The publican said Lord be merciful to me a sinner, and he went home justified.
