These men of God had a burning message of God pouring out to the lost but sorely rejected and persecuted were they till we can hear Paul's soul searching heart define his and their own intent for preaching so earnestly under the de rest of persecution. The warfare become evident they were not wrestling with flesh and blood but with spiritual wickness in places which had the unbelievers carnal.

Praise God for his work of faith and labour of love and also what his son has done BY delivering us from the wrath to come. Let us love each other In God being thankful to God for everything, meditating on that which is good, praying and wishing each other Godly grace and peace as we are Gods true representatives and as such we must turn to God from our idols. We must serve the living and true God

Bitrus, the LORD Jesus is most definitely the Saviour of the world. He was found spotless, blameless, yet He knew no sin, but bore the sins of the world in His body. His betrayel turned into our blessing and He did it for us. Salvation is only a prayer away. Confess the LORD Jesus and believe in thine heart God raised Him from the dead, Romans 10:8. Also read Ephesians 2:8-9. God bless you!!!

What makes me delighted is that this Gospel of our Lord Jesus does not only come in Word but also in Power. This power is available also for every believer. May I know and understand that. I need this power to be a dispenser of God's grace, God's love. A preacher of His Word. Lord , help me.

Jesus gave his perfect human life as a ransom to repay the perfect, everlasting life which Adam lost by disobeying Jehovah God in the Garden of Eden. Anyone who believes, repents and exercises faith in Jesus' ransom sacrifice in behalf of Adam's descendants(us), can be saved and have the wonderful hope of living a healthy life forever on an peaceful earth. See John ch17vs3, and Rev ch21 vs3,4,5.

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thessalonians 5:9. Thank You Father for the loving assurance that You will save all who love You in sincerity of heart. In CHRIST we are SAVED. Amen. The obedient who love the LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST in sincerity will be saved from wrath. The disobedient who believe they are appointed to the wrath of Great tribulation and try to deceive others to believe the same will suffer wrath.

The Bible says, Let God be true and every man a liar. God said I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So it is no by man's will that we are saved, but God's will.

Father God I praise you for this verse today, and continuing to demonstrate to me your faithfulness and power. Your presence and love amazes me, and I am blessed to be called into your family through Jesus. Jesus thank you calling me to be your disciple and friend, nothing in life comes close to satisfying me as much as growing closer to you. The times alone that the Holy Spirit reveals the meaning of a parable or bubbles up truth from the inside are lifes most treasured times. As the world gets darker I pray that I become a brighter light proclaiming the gospel. I pray that everyone that reads this is given a relevation of how great our God is and how awsome it is to be in a relationship with Him. In Jesus name. Amen

I enjoyed reading the comments. In Thessalonians Paul 's heart reaches out to God 's people. His hope is to keep them in faith. Faith is a gift from God. It is given to help us to trust God. Paul understood the gift of faith, it was faith that kept him confident and strength to continue God 's mission. Jesus said, " No one comes to me unless the Father draws him. " The Father searches the heart and when he sees that someone believes in His Son, he draws them to receive Jesus. Jesus said, " You did not choose me, I chose you. " Paul learned to trust God the Father in the Lord Jesus Christ, and it helped Paul to learn to be content no matter his state. Hebrew 11:6 He who comes to Him must believe that He is, and that He is the re-warder of them that diligently seek me, but without Faith it is impossible to please him. God 's word must be looked at closely to determine where we sin against Him. But if we ask for forgiveness He is Just to forgive us our sins. What is Faith? Trust

  • Rob on 1 Thessalonians 1:5 - 9 years ago
This is one of my favorite scriptures verses, and has been in my signature block for a while. Every time I read this verse I am reminded that I have faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Word of GOD. As a young believer I was also given the assurance of the Truth and shown many miraculous signs and wonders by the Holy Spirit to help open my eyes and heart to understand the Truth in the Word of GOD. Thank you LORD for helping me find the way to salvation, sending your Son to be my Savior and showing me daily that you are with me and listening to my prayers. Please bless those You have revealed Yourself to and trust in You to spread your wonderful Word and to be fruitful witness to your power and loving kindness. Amen.
