Dear Althea, I will pray for you today.

I pray that your daughter today.

Heavenly Father, we ask You to deepen Althea's commitment to You through Jesus our Lord. Mature her in Your Word and give her true knowledge of You and Your will. Teach her to interpret Scripture properly and be filled with Your truth daily. Grant Althea sincere desire to draw near to You and to commune with You in prayer and meditating on Your goodness and holiness. Give her a true view of Who You are. Bless her today and every day.

Father, we lift up Althea's daughter to You today and ask that You will deliver her from drug and alcohol use and whatever else that has control over her. We ask that You soon bring her to salvation. Do not tarry Lord since these abuses endanger her so. Cause this daughter to see that she is in dire need of You and turn her heart to You in faith.

We ask these things of You, Father, in the name of Your Son, Jesus. Amen.

1 John 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

1 John 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

Mark 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

This could be a very extended subject, I'm sure you would agree.

Romans 6:9 | View whole chapter | See verse in context

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

    To All saints:

Grow in grace and keep the righteousness of faith. The gift of grace and the grace of God always in your heart. We already won. We are just waiting for our redemption when Jesus meets us in the cloud. Stay healthy and keep reading the Bible. It is exciting to see all of you in the cloud.

We walk in the Spirit of God.

The bible says that all sin will pay off in death. So in God eyes there is no little sin or big sin, all sin without repentance will lead everyone into hell fire if we don't repent. No sin is bigger than the other.

For me to step on your toe is no sin its an accident, for me to stomp your toe and hurt you is no accident its a sin and a Christian won't stomp your toe. But a Christian may step on your toe by accident. Does it hurt if I step on your toe - YES, could I have avoided it maybe, but I should say i'm sorry and try not to do it again.

Yes Judas was called and chosen ( John 6:70) Judas sold our SAVIOR for $$$ - (went to far no chance to repent), and Peter denied him there are greater sins than others.

Luke 22:31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art (converted), strengthen thy brethren. 62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

Winford, I know how you feel. Just don't give up. God does listen to all of our prayers. We can pray for others to be saved. Stir yourself up. Jesus came to seek and to save. This is for you, and all those with unsaved loved ones and friends.

You can keep someone lifted up in front of Gods throne. I believe these verses show that Gods thoughts toward us, can turn us back.

    Jeremiah 29

11 For I know the thoughts that I THINK toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

13 And ye shall seek me, and find Me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

I believe in the prayers of mothers and grandparents! My grandmother sent me love letters with scriptures, saying Jesus loves me, and so did she. I would remember those letters.

An angel woke me from hangover every morning saying: if you don't stop, you will leave your child without one parent.

Yes I believe in Prodigal sons and daughters. The Bible says he CAME TO HIS SENSES. He was face down fixing to eat hog food. He had nothing left except need. Every step on that road screamed defeat, stupid, loser! (The Accuser).

He made it to Daddy. ABBA.

I'm praying hard for some people who are the hardest heads and hearts I know. We have to shake Heaven with our prayers! I know some day I am going to receive a good report. I know it! I know it I know it!

Those altars they have in Israel are solid. I can see it in scripture. Well we need to grab on it, lay on it, soak it in tears, sleep beside it; wake up and shake Heaven again.

Did John the Baptist pray? (Red letters)

Matthew 11:12 ...the Kingdom of Heaven suffers Violence, and the Violent TAKE IT BY FORCE.

Jesus said that. IF we want to shake out a blessing; get with it. Grab onto the horns of that altar and give birth to a miracle.

    Luke 16: 19-31

i am a strong believer in the grace of God, I also believe, that we must have, eternal life before we died. I believe we must died with it. It is our insurance to heaven, one cannot buy insurance after they are dead, so we cannot get eternal life, after we are dead, if we do not died with it. It would be wonderful, if someone that love us so much, would buy us, life insurance after we are dead. but how sad it is, they cannot. neither will anyone will be able to buy us, eternal life, after we are dead. It does not matter how nice the funeral may be, we must have it before, are we will died without.

Mike Part of walking with God is not giving pearls to the swine, or you can lead a horse to water but that doesn't mean he'll drink. When what your giving is being abused that's a red flag. In His Service
  • Chris - In Reply on Romans 6 - 2 years ago
I perceive Mike, that your motive to help this person is one of love, of a real need existing there & of your commitment. Not knowing what type of backlash you face each time, whether from that person or others, if you believe that your help that comes out of your heart for that person is greater than the repercussions you face, then you must continue to render help. If it's getting too much for you, then you may need to step back, keep the matter & person(s) in prayer, & seek to be led of the Lord in your ministry of "helps".

Romans 12:20 may not be the same situation you're facing, but it gives an important principle: "if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head." It really means, that even if a known person hates or despises you, if that person is in need, your Christian love will still reach out to him. Why? Because we look at the need of the person rather than the anger in his eyes. In like manner, the Gospel has gone out to the farthest lands; not because of anyone's desire to be rejected, injured or killed, but because of the desperated need of the lost soul for the saving Message that can only be met by going out & doing - not waiting & remaining indifferent.

If you are truly concerned & passionate about helping others, you will look beyond the thoughtless or reckless actions of others, & only see the present need. The Lord sees your heart & motives - He is well able to use your loving efforts to bring blessing to another (as you have probably done already), not only in the physical realm but also in ministering to another's spirit. May the Lord lead you in this matter & comfort you in your struggle & pain.

Hi Mike, we can't help everyone, but we can choose who to invest our limited time and resources into helping. I would no longer help that particular person but direct your energy into helping people who actually need and appreciate your help. Even Jesus didn't help everyone and He asked at least one man if he first wanted help before helping. The verse about not throwing your pearls to swine may apply. Also, only 1 of 10 lepers healed said thank you. God bless....

    Sir, Dr. Masters,

Thank you for your exceptional knowledge of God our Lord Jesus Christ.. Sir, it seems that people are having a hard time knowing what is sin.....where to find the sins.....I told my friend that the Old Testament has them listed....in the first 5 Books of the Bible.... they told me that those are for the Jewish people ...I calmly answered her saying..." Do we learn from the Jew's that there is even a God that spoke to Abraham , Moses, Mary? Do we say that we taught ourselves about sin....from the New Testament.....Paul listed 22 in Romans 3....She said that we are not under the laws....but are saved by Grace....I said that is right to a point...We are to repent of our sin , Believe that Jesus Christ to them to the Cross, died with them and arose clean and arose to Heaven...All we hear of is repent of sin but please share the list. Thank you, Faye

I love this chapter in Romans! Like the Book of James, this is very much a chapter of "where the rubber meets the road". As Christians, we are called to a life of obedience and holiness. We, being filled with the Holy Spirit, seek to bring honor and glory to our risen Savior, who gave his life for us! We love him because he first loved us and it is never grievous to do his will!

Kay : To say that you live a sinless life is to down play the precious blood of Jesus Christ , Those who claim to live sinless do not mean to do this but that is exactly what they are doing ! if sinless perfection had ever been possible to achieve then Jesus shed his Sinless Blood in vain !
  • Ron - In Reply on Romans 6:23 - 2 years ago
Amen Jerry Smith, At the resurrection, our sleeping soul and body will awake and put on immortality and if we fear man instead of God and not be obedient to God, we will face the judgment and punishment of the second death the eternal death that was past to us from the first Adam, that will destroy the body and the soul.

What is our spirit? Some use the Bible verse Ecclesiastes 12:7 to support the belief of going to heaven when we die. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. God gave us breath like in Genesis; God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.

Without spirit, the body is dead. Psalm 104:29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Therefore, in the Bible, the word ruach is translated not only as "spirit" but also as "force," or life-force, breath is life.

Think of when you go in or out of a room you flip the light switch and the light goes on or off, the electricity is the spirit of the light bulb and without it the bulb is dead. There is also the Spirit we worship God, is it also similar to the electricity that turns on the light bulb?

Yes, it flows like electricity but it carries comfort, guidance, truth, love, it regenerates and renews and assists believers in prayer. Spirit, is the same word as breath, but what flows through this Holy Spirit is not air or electricity. It is an invisible channel and a door, we communicate to and from God in the name of Jesus, a dwelling place (mansion) in us, Jesus restored with his death on the cross.

    God bless, Ron

I think that too many try to define scripture by a word or passage that may or may not actually indecisively define the true context of what is written and or said,,, Jesus declared that He is the resurrection and the life,, that no man comes unto the Father Sept by Him,, AND IF YOU BELIEVE IN HIM ,,,THEN YOU WILL LIVE,,,. EVEN THO YOU DIE!!!!!

What does He mean,""" if we believe in Him"" ,,,and what does He mean""even tho we die,,,?? Many try to seperate"the person from the body here and say that only the body dies and the person is immortal,,even tho Jesus just said that """ (you)will live,,,""" even tho ""( you)""( will die"), is that contradictive to what He says in John 8:51, if anyone keeps my word, He will not see death,He will live forever ,,or in the passage just prior to when He says"" I am the resurrection and the life, the one that believes in me will live,,EVEN THO YOU DIE"" and the one that lives believing in me will not see death, nor ever die,

To twist a declaration of man being immortal in any sense by standing on these words is self serving to that person's doctrinal belief and not according to these passages,

The revealing understanding that the person is spoken of in the same state as the very one that dies being the very one that never dies is a clear reference to what happens to us in death, and those believing in him are resurrected to eternal life and in that state never die or see death ,,So,,,,,even tho we die,,,,(the person) not just a person's body as some declare allowing for a immortal soul conceptual belief,,but the person of ,, and once resurrected back to life,, will live eternally

This is proven by His resurrection to life being a bodily resurrection

The same body he died in now glorified and renewed free from any disease etc The spear in the side was of great significance, it allowed them to see that He was mortal as His brothern bleeding blood as they will, for theyhad to witness this lest any man believe ,

    Hi Kay.

Romans 6:1. Is continuing from ch 5 where Paul explains how the law slew us because we were Kinsman of Adam,

And those who "TRULY" accepted Christ has been baptized into Christ has been baptized into his death and given power over the "DOMINION" of sin.

Romans 6:1-2 (KJV) What shall we say then? Shall we "CONTINUE IN SIN", that grace may abound?

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, "LIVE ANY LONGER THEREIN"?

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

I've highlighted key phrases such as Dominion, Continue in sin, Live any longer therein. and other places you will words like "practice"

These words and phrases suggest a person born again want CONTINUE living in sin, but it doesn't say they will ever be able to live a sinless life.

Paul elaborates on this in Romans 7.

    Also see John here:

1 John 1:6-10 (KJV) If we say that we have fellowship with him, and ""WALK"" in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the BLOOD of Jesus Christ his Son CLEANSETH us from all sin.

VS 8: IF WE SAY THAT WE HAVE ( NO SIN) WE DECEIVE OURSELVES, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN US.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

VS 10: IF WE SAY THAT WE HAVE (NOTSINNED) WE MAKE HIM A LIAR, AND HIS WORD IS NOT IN US.

    I hope that helps.
  • Kay on Romans 6:1 - 3 years ago
So are you saying we can be sinless , If a christian sins occasionally does that mean he is lost again
  • Ed on Romans 6:14 - 3 years ago
Paul is saying we no longer live under the law of "sin and death" Paul is not saying we don't live under God's law. Context is everything. When we fall short, we have grace, but as Paul and yeshua has said, not till heaven and earth pass will the law of God pass. If we no longer live according to the law of God, and if it is truly not applicable to new testament Christians, why then when yeshua returns to rule on earth does he practice the law? He will practice the law untill all things written by the prophets is fulfilled, then heaven and earth will pass away with the law of God, we won't need it after that because there will be no more urge. To sin.

We don't follow God's law to save us, we practice GODS law because we are saved, see the difference?

Your faith in the word (yeshua is the word in the flesh) is what justifies you.
