Zephaniah Chapter 1 Discussion

  • MORE THAN A BOOK - In Reply on Zephaniah 1 - 2 years ago
It's more than a book. From Genesis to Revelation, it is all about the Life of Jesus Christ, the Messiah of Israel and the whole world.

Romans 1, speaks of the Godhead: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Other places through the Bible we see the phrase:

LET US, or like, WHO WILL GO FOR US. Finding those places in scripture is like finding big nuggets of pure Gold. Every time I go through the Bible I find more!

I think it pleases God for us to search and dig for more Truth. It grows our Faith.

    You will not be disappointed.

Jesus is returning soon. John 3, Jesus tells a Pharisee, he must be born again to even see the Kingdom of God. Nicodemas followed Jesus. He was at the Crucifixion and saw Jesus die for our sins. He saw the Temple in ruins. All recorded in Scripture. He knew Jesus was the Messiah.

If you know any military friends, read Gideon's story. He wasn't keen on leading an army. God whittled his army down to soldiers who lapped water like dogs. Head down but eyes up, searching for ambushers. They went to battle and did great exploits.

We can learn a lot of practical knowledge in the Bible. It's an amazing book; testimonies.

Joel 2:1-11 Imagine a 2,700 year old prophet writing something so accurate, like he was transported there, it's uncanny. Joel's account is so accurate, describing smart missiles (Sarmat) coming in through the windows like a thief (Jesus), shaking the ground. Powerful enough to knock the earth off its axis, Isaiah 24:20. The inhabitants of Babylon have no idea the cost it will take to bring down all their earthly principles.

    Zephaniah 1:14-18

14 The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.

17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.

18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

There is trouble coming and it will not go well for those who have not lived their lives in faith and obedience to God. America the Great will be destroyed and all the wealth it currently has, along with all nations on earth.

The expression:" God's wrath Day ", in Zephaniah, chapter 1 verse 18, raises a very important matter, about truth and God's character. Men tend to anthropomorphize God, despite bible's teaching, clearly establishing the primacy of God's nature, singularity and unique features. This is abundantly evident in the beauty and harmony of creation.

The bible simple forbidds men's jugment, reggarding one another, wich implies, also, not juging God!

God through Zephaniah, warn's human kind, about Life's seriousness, facing the fact that God has to be impartial towards all the inhabitants of the Universe, and determine one day, to put an end to evil, suffering and death, for ever.

Love implies mercy and justice, otherwise, woul be a blind love. God gives us life and a brain, to obtain not just knowledge, but also wisdom! If parents had just a blind love, wouldn't it be harmfull to their children?

Wouldn't it be,also, disastrous to all inteligent beings in the Universe, if GOD was just merciful and not fair, in perpetuating evil, with all his consequences, eternally.

That's why GOD is willing to sacrifice Himself, according to His mercy and justice!

It's written: God was at the cross, hiding His presence in dark clouds. The Bible establishes the unity of God, in three distinct entities! (see genesis 19:24)

Before the Creation of inteligent, thougtfull individuals, He had already decided to die as a man, for, not only men's sake, but also in behalf of all the intelligent Universe.

I would suffer for a while, than not being alive, at all.

The process of giving birth can be painful, but I'm thankful to my mother and GOD for seeing the light and being alive, than instead being an abortion. It's written that God, is God of the living, not of the dead! For God, those who died in christ, live, as if they had been already ressurected. The dead in Christ, will ressurect first, with a glorious body, like Him, and will live in a perfect, eternaly happy knew Earth and Universe.

THe expression Gods wrath Day, in Zephaniah, chapter 1 verse 18, raises a very important subject, about the truth and Gods character, because man tend to anthropomorfisize God, despite the bible, that clearly establishes the the primacy of Gods nature, singularity and unic features of Gods character.

The bible also simple forbidens mans jugment, reggarding other man, wich implies not juging God!

Personaly, I dont have questions about Gods wrath Day, because I also know that the essence of Gods character is love, and as parens should do, GOD is warning His sons about Lifes seriousness.

Love implies mercy and justice, otherwise, woul be a blind love. God gives us life and a brain, to obtain not just knowledge, but also wisdom! If parents had just a blind love, woudnt it be be armfull to children? no doubt about that! It would be disastrous to all inteligent beings in the entire Universe, if GOD wast JUST merciful and not Fair.

Thats why GOD is willing to sacrifice Himself, for His Principles, according to His loving imparcial, nature and charecter!

It's written: God was at the cross, hiding His presence in dark clouds. The Bible reveals that and establishis the unity of God in three distint persons! (see genesis 19:24)

Before the Creation of inteligent, thougtfull, and individual minds, He had previously decided to die as a man for, not only man's sake, but also in behalf of the entire Universe.

I rather want suffering a while, than not to come to life.

The process of giving birth can be painful, but I'm thankfull to my mother and GOD for seing the light being alive, than becoming an abortion. It's written tht God is God of the living, and not the dead, as for god those who died in christ, is as if are already alive. The dad in Christ willressurect, to be like the angels of God, living in a Perfect, eternaly Happy earth and Universe.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour".

I'm just quoting from my Bible:

"Zephaniah, of noble birth (1:1; his great-grandfather being King Hezekiah of the Tribe of Judah), apparently helped prepare Judah for the revival which took place under good King Josiah in 621 BC ( 2 Chronicles 34:3). For more than half a century, times had been evil under kings Manasseh & Amon, & Zephaniah called his people to repentance. Reform came, but after Josiah, the leaders & many of the people reverted to their old ways".

"Judgement is the central theme of the Book - immediate fulfilment happened when Judah was captured by Nebuchadnezzar, but ultimate fulfilment during the "Day of the Lord" in the coming Great Tribulation".

Hopeful, may the Spirit grace you with his (spiritual) knowledge and his (spiritual) wisdom.

John 6:63 ....... the words that I ( 1 Peter 1:11,the Spirit of Christ or 1 Peter 1:21,the Holy Ghost or 2 Samuel 23:1-2, the Spirit of the Lord or Revelation 19:10,the words of Jesus) speak unto you, they (words) are spirit, and they (words) are life.

The day of the Lord is prophecy about a spiritual day; but, a day in spiritual time is not necessarily a day in natural time ( 2 Peter 3:8).

Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterwards (after the day of the Lord), that I (Spirit) will will pour my spirit upon all flesh......

Since the Spirit (Holy Ghost) was poured out on all mankind at pentecost; therefore, the day of the Lord begin at pentecost and is continuing to this day 2000 years later in natural time; but, only one day in spiritual time.

    Second witness:

Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon (symbolic of Christ)..... Psalm 89:35-36 And it (the throne of Christ, from the proceeding verse) shall be established forever as the moon, and as a FAITHFUL WITNESS in heaven...... Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the FAITHFUL WITNESS.......into blood before the terrible (wonderful) day of the Lord (pentecost) come.

Revelation 6:12 And I beheld when he (the Lamb) had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth hair, and the moon (symbolic of Christ) became as blood.....

Matthew 27:45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

Matthew 27:51 ........and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent.

John 19:34 ...and forthwith came there blood and water.

Revelation 8:1 And when he (the Lamb) had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half hour (spiritual time not natural time)

This time was the time between Christ resurrection and the day of the Lord (pentecost)

    Daniel 12:11-12 45 days between vs 11 and 12

    The Day of the Lord. Ok...this is going to be a terrible day and ALL will be destroyed. Right? Where will the Christians be? Look at 1:5 And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the Lord, and that swear by Malcham;

God is going to cut off everyone including those he mentions in verse 5. Are these Believers?

The Davidic kingdom was Jesse David and Solomon,Father Son and GRANDSON. God wd not let david the son build the temple,he wd only let Solomon the granson build the temple an alligory that only the H.g. the Granson can build the temple with in US as our bodies are the temple of the H.G. as scriptures says. Solomon means Comforter and Jesus refers to the H.G AS THE COMFORTER.David knew bathsheba and she brought forth Solomon,As Christ knows the church and she bought forth a Child th H.G as that which is born of th spirit is Spirit th Comforter/H.G. remember the Kingdom has to come as a Child a Birth. Isaiah knew that jesse david and solomon had long been dead but he uses them symbolic kingdom.

The Trinity is simply Father Son and Granson that will be multiplied as the stars of heaven.Remember natural Israel was abraham issac and jacob which is father son and granson that became as the sands of the seas in multitude. God wd not have told MOSES that his name was abraham issac and jacob if the kingdom of GOD was not a trinity, a family that wd become as the stars of heaven,God swore by himself that Christ wd be multiplied as the stars of heaven. We see that abraham offered up his only son issac just as the Father offered up his son jesus. The Abrahamic trinity was prophetic of the heavenly trinity.Without this Abrahamic Trinity NO Nation of Israel, thus no Israel of God withouta Trinity

"The word of the LORD which came unto Zephaniah...in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah." Did anyone in Israel, besides the the righteous, know or understand that they were at the very end of the LORD's patience and restraint concerning ALL their wickedness and incurable disobedience, unbelief, hatred and hostility toward everything good and holy of God? Does anyone have a clue now?

The word I received on 12 05 16 was Zephaniah chapter 1 verse 10. The Lord is saying through the Prophet is on that day there will be screams and crying every where as there is going to be catastrophic destruction. The day of the Lord is coming.

This little book written by Zephaniah the Prophet is talking about the Day of the Lord. This subject is what's inside the little scroll in the Father's right hand ( Rev. 5-6); and one that is continually expounded on by the Prophets and Apostles throughout the Bible: but the world (and many so-called Christians) goes on as if it isn't an issue for them to be afraid of. The words are spoken by God!

Strange clothing in Zephaniah and invisible military shields in 2015 become quantum stealth. Very important to repent daily.
