If you would please pray for The LORD to help me through the trials and tribulations that I am going through (Psalm34:19-20, Psalm 3, Psalm 5, Psalm 18, Psalm 144) If you would pray that The LORD would protect and deliver me from The Devil and my enemies ( Psalm 35, Psalm 59, 2 Thess 3:2). Also that The LORD would fight them, and expose their schemes against me and bring them to nought ( Exodus 14:14, Psalm 24:8, Psalm 33:10). Please pray that The LORD provides for all of my spiritual and material needs ( Philippians 4:19). Also, please pray for healing for my backsliding, body, mind, soul and spirit ( Exodus 15:26, Hosea 14:1-4, Jeremiah 3:22) . Hey; hows your surgery doing? Anyhoo; I'm back for another one of my scripture interpretations. It is clear that since judgment doesn't come at once; man persists in his sin. This roughly is the translation of Ecclesiastes 8:11. Clearly; God has no joy in the death of the wicked; and toward His elect He waits as long as decreed through foreknowledge until the prompting of the Spirit draws them in. God demonstrates fairness by allowing men to heap up sins ( Hosea 14:1 and many other scriptures); and the desperately wicked heart becomes systematically harder as Pharoah. This pattern is evident with todays rebellion as 2 Timothy 3:1 and following verses state; and in Revelation sin will progress to people hiding from Christ and He who is seated on the Thone ( Rev. 6:16) to where they will actively fight Christ at His return ( Rev. 19:19-20; Psalm 2; etal).
In Psalm 22; we see Christ's sufferings on the cross; but also He is in the "presence of His enemies" in verse 5. There is a day of reckoning; as you know. When God endures so that no one will perish( 2 Peter 3:9); it is only effective for those He has called and chosen; but for a time the tares remain with the wheat so that His purposes can stand and when the last man to be saved comes to pass then judgment is final on the rest. Only He knows that day. The mark of the beast will "seal the deal" as it were. The test coming to the whole world will come; and the sins piled to the sky in Rev. 18 will bring His wrath in full measure to "Babylon the Great." Therefore; nations of the wicked come to full fruition or ripeness for judgment; which was the case with nations in the O.T. past as well. The wicked always are used for God's purposes as is Satan Himself.
I agree the Lord love us while we are yet sinners, He is also Holy and just! Sin separate us from God. How about we also consider verses 1 and 2. "Repent" and take hold of his love as you stated.
1 O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.
2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.
4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.
5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

These verses shows that God is not done with Israel. They will be driven back to him in the Millennium.

God will still love you and heal you even when you seem that he is far from you or you dont deserve it because you backslide. Lay hold unto his promises and his unmeasuarable love for us.
I do not know what you are going through, you did not give a lot of detail and that's ok, but may I just speak the plain truth. If you are truly being called back in the fold, the road back may not be short or easy. We cannot just say a prayer or two and everything will be hunky-dory again. Please do not compare what you are dealing with to Job, our words can come to be if you know what I mean.
We must all work out our path of salvation, Ezekiel 18:20Romans 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Read Luke 15:11-32 Are you there yet? The word of God is our only defense against the principalities and powers of evil and believe me, they do not let go easily and they can be quite vicious. Spend every spare minute in His word and prayer, truly repenting, not holding on to anything, if it is any kind of obstacle let it go, even if you lose it all. Revelation 2:5
We must truly admit and understand what we have done. Jeremiah 2:19 We must know it may take time and not at all be easy. Hosea 5:15 When we truly have repented without any doubt, He will return Jeremiah 3:22 2 Hosea 14:4
Jonah was a great man of God, but he backslid from the will of God and went in his direction, not Gods. Look what God sent him to get his attention and change his direction. You can do it but do not get discouraged if things get worse and the temptations, not from God, but from the adversaries trying to hold you back. Turn adversity into strength, for what we lose in this life is nothing to what we will lose in the life to come. Mark 35:8 that's not just our physical life, it is the life we choose to live.
My prayer is for you to have the strength you will need.

When the fullness of the Gentiles is come into the Fold, and the transgressors are come to the full without; Jesus shall return to save His people Israel in the sight of all Nations, and they shall know Him!
The entire Bible is the love story of wanting to belong, yet not knowing to what. God who create us gave us the freedom of choice, yet knowing how good he is, we still search for something in nothing. every time he wants to reconcile us to him, patiently he waits like a husband who waits for his bride that no longer knows what is real, the image or reality? which do you love, the lie or the truth.
