    Greeting and Blessing to All

I want to thank God for his word on today it was for me and how I was feeling at this time. It's good to know that the spirit of the Lord knows our heart and He knows what to give us when we are in need. I want to take this time just to tell the Lord thank you for all he has done for me. For the breath in my body and the blood that's running warm in my veins he is so wonderful regardless how I feel he is a HEALER OF ALL THINGS.

We as the people of God must keep praying for all things In Jesus Name

    Hi Ronald.

    Part 1

Sorry so late of a response!

I will first speak on your 1st question as a springboard to get into this topic concerning the 69th and 70 week of Daniel 9:26-27.

    Your quote.

"If I am correct, it is thought the 69th week ended when Jesus' ride into Jerusalem fulfilling Zech. 9:9. Dan. 9:26 says 69 weeks unto the Messiah, should we look over the 3.5 years from when Jesus was baptized and anointed with the Holy Spirit? Look at the multitude that met Him when He rode in, they knew who He was, He came for the lost sheep of Israel. End quote.

Ronald, Daniel outlines the sequence of events in the opposite order than what you present in the 69th week. We see the Messiah cut off. But if you look at Verse 26 Carefully " The People of the prince THAT SHALL COME shall destroy the sanctuary. This puts his arrival after the destruction of Jerusalem. This is saying this person who is coming, His people will destroy the sanctuary. His people destroyed the sanctuary but the Prince that shall come hasn't come yet.

This is saying, this person who is coming, His people will destroy the sanctuary. His people destroyed the sanctuary, but the This is saying this person who is coming, His people will destroy the sanctuary. His people destroyed the sanctuary but the Prince that shall come hasn't come yet.

PRINCE THAT SHALL COME hasn't come yet.

    Let's examine this.

Beginning with Daniel 9:25. This is where the 69 weeks end. We know that by the beginning of vs 26, ( And after threescore and two weeks )

and here's why I place this at his entry into Jerusalem riding a donkey, In Luke 19:37-39 we see the multitude singing, referring to Psalms 118:26. parallel that with Luke 19:38. The Pharisees saw that as blasphemy!

Psalms 118:22-26 is the scope of scope of Daniel's prophecies and Nebuchadnezzar's dream.

    BUT

They denied there king and here's Jesus answer to that in Matthew 23:37-38.

This is the only time Christ presented himself as king!

    See part 2.

Gigi I should mention concerning Psalms 118:18-29 I should have said it PROBABLY parallels with the concept. As a double reference.

I may stand alone on that.

It doesn't make it right or wrong.

    Gigi.

I was responding to an earlier reply of yours when you said there's no rapture verse in the Bible.

I believe I gave you verse

1 Thessalonians 4:17 "Then we which are alive and remain shall be CAUGHT UP together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord"

I didn't say it was a dispensational view.

It's a rapture verse used by Post and Pre-trib groups.

The debate issue is when it happens not if!

And that don't define dispensational as you say it do.

We're all saved by one way. Christ!

    No matter the time period.

However We're not gathered with Israel as a Nation.

Paul makes that clear in Romans.

Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness "IN PART" is happened to Israel, UNTIL the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. ( That means temporarily Gigi )

Now here's a difficult verse that troubles most people.

Romans 11:26-27. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Paul is talking about his Kinsman of the flesh!

The Nation, when he take away their blindness.

Has the "Nation" turned to Christ? No.

Will they turn to Christ? Yes.

When? During the tribulation. "70 of Daniel"

    THE TRIBULATION CENTERS AROUND ISRAEL.

I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge THEIR OFFENCE, and seek my face: IN THEIR AFFLICTION they will seek me early. Hosea 5:15.

    THEIR OFFENCE IS REJECTING CHRIST!

He'll come when they call on him.

Matthew 23:39. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

    This whole concept parallels

    Psalms 118:18-29.

    God bless.

I Love the book of PSALMS. IT HAS SO MUCH WISDOM, This is cne of many chapters how God Loves us,also how much confidence, appreciation, most of all how God Loved King David! ,King David Loved GOD. Today modern times why is new age Christians can't have the Love for God ? Like David Loved GOD? It's simple to Love someone we se all the time, but one that we never see, but Thu the word , though worship, though songs, also though praise we feel his LOVE. I remember this scripture John 3:16 For God so Loved the world that he gave his only begotten son whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have ever lasting life.

    Hi Peter,

It sounds like you're assuming the Sabbath and worshipping God are supposed to be the same day instead of two separate days. Do you recall what led you to draw this conclusion?

We are to worship, follow, and honor God every day. First century Christians met on the first day of the week which I believe is Sunday. This custom has continued until today, but it is good to gather and worship anytime. Jesus was resurrected on Monday and some believe this is the Lord's Day. Bible references: Acts 20:7, 1 Cor 16:1-2, Psalms 118:24

I noticed you tried to discredit Sunday by referring to a pagan name, but not Saturday even though the same smear tactic could be applied. For me, pagans don't own the days, don't own the names, and have no power, just like they don't own Christmas and won't prevent me from celebrating Christ's birth, and just how sodomites don't own the rainbow, which God made and means God's promise, not the sin that some cults and loud bullies associate with it.

    Grae:

Peace and grace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you for the opportunity to have a dip at the tip of my tongue "of the cup that Jesus Christ drink of".

God forbid I would hurt the pure. I love all the saints. I pray for the fullness of the Gentiles and that ALL be saved and sanctified by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

    Mark 10:39

And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:

    Matthew 20:23

And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

    Matthew 5:8

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

    Titus 1:15

Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

    Psalms 119:2

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

    Psalms 118:28

Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

Psalm 118 only has 29 verses. Are you thinking of Psalm 119? If so, what reference are you actually looking for?

Did you mean, Psalms 119:49-72 ?

Psalms 118, stops at verse 29,

It's believed king David wrote, Psalms 119, then:

Psalms 119:49 + 1Kings 9:5, Jeremiah 33:17, 1Kings 2:45, Psalms 132:11, Isaiah 16:5, Luke 1:32, David's throne to have an heir to reign forever, Jesus being that son of David.

    2Samuel 12:13

    Psalms 119:67,71, 2Samuel 12:14, 2Samuel 12:9-12,

    Hopefully these are helpful

    Dgjot,

I'm responding to your reply without reading any of the responses, so my thoughts will stay focused. Just incase there's repeating._..

Being you're still alive, it's not final judgement: Matthew 4:17, Acts 17:30, 2Peter 3:9, in context read whole chapter. Psalms 48:14, Proverbs 10:12, Proverbs 13:14, Ezekiel 33:11, Ezekiel 18:32,

it could be warning from GOD: Psalms 118:18,

or attack not from GOD,: Ephesians 6:12,

    Psalms 90,

    Jeremiah 18:8,

    Psalms 37,

You are angry because of injustice it seems: Exodus 21, Exodus 22, Leviticus 20, Numbers 35, Proverbs 8:36, Genesis 18:19, Proverbs 21:3,

    Psalms 73, Jeremiah 27:7-18, Isaiah 58, Isaiah 59, Matthew 25:31-46, James 2,

    Ephesians 6:10-18, Ephesian 4:26, Psalms 82:3, Ecclesiastes 5:8,

    Hopefully these are helpful

Jeremiah 17:5 - Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Psalms 118:9 - It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.

Our trust should be placed wholly in Christ Jesus and none other. We do have families, there are friends but even some of those I've come across who seem to be the most trustworthy; they'll betray you when you most or least expect. We as humans are not equipped to keep promises, to bestow trust but to learn from Christ's example on how to live. We need to have fellowship with other Christians, we need family and we need to be part of the body (the church). However, how much you give of yourself to man...that's something I'd always do with a certain precaution.

Ending with again Psalms 118 but verse 8:

Psalms 118:8 - It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

I think 1st: it's helpful to be ready personally for our personal "time" of accountability. Romans 14:12, Matthew 25:31-46,

When people push end-times fear it blinds the perspective of our personal lives & robs joy, & time. This is the day the LORD has made, let us rejoice & be glad in it. Philippians 4:4, Psalms 118:24,

Matthew 24:36, no man know the day nor hour, not even the angels in heaven. Jesus gave us much to understand closer to that time. Matthew 24, Mark 13, 2Thessalonians 2, if you notice a common command in these "be not soon shaken, in mind, or be troubled...."

    Hopefully helpful

Psalms 9:10, Psalms 18:2,30, Psalms 56:3, Psalms 71:5, Isaiah 12:2, our trust & hope should ultimately be in GOD

    * Psalms 118:8, * Jeremiah 9:4, * Micah 7:5,6, Luke 12:52, Psalms 27:10, Ephesian 6:2,3, Proverbs 23:22, people even most dear can betray, abandon, abuse etc. There was much abuse, betrayal, within King David's family & those he served. 1Samuel 21, 2Samuel 15, Saul his King, his children, wife, etc. Starting with his calling, 1Samuel 16:5-11,

    Psalms 20:7,

    Psalms 62:2,5,8, 2Samuel 22:3,31,

    Job 4:17-21,

    Psalms 17:7, Psalms 25:2, Psalms 31:19,

    Psalms 40:4, Psalms 44:6, Psalms 49:6,7,

Luke 14:26, trust GOD 1st & only yet honor them, this may be when there is contradiction to GOD's will & commandments. Even Jesus faced those struggles with earthly parents & family. Mark 3:20,21, Mark 3:31-35, John 7:3-5, Luke 2:42-52,

    Hopefully these are helpful.

    Yes Richard,

And He calmed the storm and walked on water as well, which were miraculous, along with feeding the 5000 x two from a few fish and loaves of bread. Oh, and He transfigured before the disciples. Jesus did not release Himself from all of His divine powers in the incarnation, in my opinion. He could do miracles of His own power anytime, but He only did so in obedience to the will of the Father. But some people teach that He "emptied Himself of His divinity" in the incarnation. I do not believe that. Some people teach that he "emptied Himself of His divine power". I do not believe that either, because the divine essence cannot be divided, increased or decreased.

But I do believe that He subjected Himself to the Father in all things, being obedient even unto death. But the part of this that I do not quite understand is, since God is eternal and self-existence and cannot die, did only the human aspect of Jesus die on the cross? Did the divine aspect of Jesus die on the cross, also? If only the human aspect of Jesus died on the cross, what did the divine nature do when Jesus die? I guess I will need to study this more.

I love the way we discuss things and this prompts us to ask questions and dig for anwsers! I hope some will reply with ideas about these questions.

    Have a lovely evening.
  • Riichard H. Priday - In Reply on Psalms 118 - 2 years ago
That is true perhaps as best illustrated when He did the miracle of wine into water when His time hadn't come yet. This may have been one time when He was given permission through His own authority and as a favor to those present to do this as this wasn't as a healing or salvation in later public ministry. Thar appears to be immediately after He was driven into the wilderness and fasted 40 days then tempted by Satan. That sacrifice of no longer having a set place to rest His head and traveling with Jerusalem the final destination at the cross was to come
