    Isaiah 57:19 ..... I CREATE the FRUIT of the LIPS ..... ONLY when one is BAPTISED into the NAME of Jesus ...... does ones lips speak the same words as OUR LORD, the overseer of out lips.

    UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF THE RESURRECTION

    Psalms 17:15 As for ME (Christ), I will behold thy (the Father and God of Christ) face: I (Christ) will be satisfied, when I (Christ) awake (am resurrected, by the Father's SPIRIT), with THY (the Father's) likeness.

    Romans 6:5 For if were be planted TOGETHER (you and Christ) in the likeness of his (Christ) DEATH; we shall also be the LIKENESS of HIS RESURRECTION.

    Genesis 5:1 In that DAY (the day of the LORD; ALL MEN died with Christ and all MEN were resurrected with Christ) that God created man ( BY the resurrection), in the LIKENESS of GOD created he them.

    Psalms 104:30 Thou sendest forth THY (the Father of ALL ( Ephesians 4:6) SPIRIT, THEY (all men) are CREATED; thou renewest the face of the earth.

    John 10:35 If he (our Father, the WORD) called them (the new creation, by resurrection) GODS, unto WHOM the word of GOD CAME ( Hebrews 9:28), the scripture CANNOT be BROKEN.

    Luke 20:36 Neither can THEY (the new creation) DIED ANYMORE (you died with Christ on the cross): for they are EQUAL to the ANGELS ( Isaiah 63:9...and the ANGEL of HIS (Christ in YOU) PRESENCE SAVED THEM.

    We are reminded here in the first few verses of several verses; first the one in Hebrews 7:25-26 of the Spirit "ever interceding" for us. I am also thinking of James 1:5 of seeking wisdom; and verses such as Isaiah 26:9 and many others on seeking God at all times.

    Verse 4 and 5 are also similar to Psalm 119:105 on God being a "lamp unto our feet."

    Verses 6 through 14 could once again involve Christ prophetically or David himself as to enemies being justly recompensed. Verse 13 has a brief impreccatory word for "casting down" the wicked. We can look at Psalm 103:16 and no doubt many others on wealth being left to others of the wicked. (see also Jeremiah 5:28; Psalm 22:21).

    The last verse about awaking and beholding His face in righteousness as well as having His likeness no doubt has allusions to the Resurrection and our eternal glorified state.

    It may be well here with these repeated themes to consider how we should have as David did a "perfect hatred" for the wicked. ( Psalm 139:22). Such can only be with one filled with the Holy Spirit (as our own wickedness would make us judge others in the flesh with an unrighteous standard and also would condemn ourselves with such hypocricy). It is for jealousy of the God of Israel alone and His exalted state as the only Creator and Sovereign Lord that should lead us to a disdain of the world; the flesh and the Devil. It should also compel us to be preachers of righteousness for His Name's sake; knowing that God is a God of wrath as well as mercy; but that it is in this lifetime that we must be Born Again.

    Kilts were worn since medieval times not just modern times in Scotland & Ireland . .Each clan had its own tartan colors to tell the difference between clans . Back in the day women wore long skirts or dresses ,in modern times they wear shorter skirts & dresses long skirts & dresses are for more formal occasions . Just speaking from my cultural history . Girls are permitted nowadays to wearing pants to school ,etc It wasn't permitted back when I was in school to wear pants to school except in cold weather @ first & then finally whenever. The past 15-20 years wearing shorts. I am glad to see the fad of baggy ,saggy pants showing undies seems to have past. I think this verse is speaking to modest dress & appearance . For women particularly wearing immodest attire can attract attention one doesn't want .

    I feel there is a significant detail that is possibly a detail that the LORD wants to show you. You may want to independent research about lions. I would be interested in what you find relating to what the LORD shows you!

    Hear are more scriptures on lions within the scripture. Several of GOD's people were delivered from lions.

    I understand it to mean, any lion just incase we question "what about a young one". Here's a scripture about "._._.an old lion,who shall rouse him up?' Genesis 49:9,

    Young lion : Numbers 23:24,

    these also mention a difference between: Job 4:8-21, Job 28:8, Job 38:39, Psalms 17:12, Isaiah 30:6, Isaiah 31:4,

    Ezekiel 19:3, Amos 3:4, Micah 5:8,

    Victory from lions : Judges 14, 1Samuel 17:34,36, 2Timothy 4:17, Daniel 6,

    But also used against a Prophet that disobeyed GOD's specific orders : 1Kings 13,

    Guess no one has attempted to answer you yet-so I will say the easiest answer is BOTH. In addition to this; of course we have the Holy Spirit as part of the Godhead. The easiest way; I suppose to look at it is that the Godhead (Elohim as mentioned in Genesis 1) consists of all 3 members of the Trinity. There is perfect unity; but different functions for each member. Jesus was referred to as my Lord and my God in John 20:28 by "doubting" Thomas after viewing His wounds after the Resurrection. Clearly; God the Father had to remain untouched by sin so that the universe could be held together; for sin had to bring death to the Son as predetermined by the Father ( Isaiah 53:10). Christ had conversations with and prayed to the Father; so clearly this is an eternal past; present and future state with the exception of that brief moment at Calvary.

    It seems that the Holy Spirit is misunderstood for His main role bringing conviction of sin righteousness and judgment to come ( John 16:8). There is no scripture where the "helper" ( John 14:26) is instructed to be worshipped. Instead; it strengthens the believer; as a small reflection of Christ who possessed the Spirit "without limit" or measure ( John 3:34).

    Believers have quibbled as to verses that mention the Trinity and others only mentioning baptism in the name of Christ. We also need to understand the Christophenes or preincarnate appearances of Christ. No one has seen the Father according to Christ; surely the full glory of God would kill a man ( John 1:18; Exodus 33:18-20). The Spirit has only been described in a visible manifestation or accompanying sign once; in Acts at Pentecost. Jesus makes it clear that when the Comforter (i.e. Spirit) comes that WE shall dwell with him ( John 14:23). He is to ask the Father and He sends it ( John 14:16).

    I suppose a a good read of John is appropriate on these matters! Even one member of the Godhead is beyond our puny minds to understand. Agape. Rich P

    This is a fascinating thing. I heard a sermon one time saying the words spoken about "if someone sees the face of GOD they cannot live" he said "they cannot live, the same" Is this the question you're looking deeper into? Genesis 32:20,30, Exodus 33:11, Exodus 34:28-30,35,

    It would be very interesting to do a study on the words. Exodus 3:6, Exodus 33:20,23, Numbers 6:25, Deuteronomy 5:1-5, Deuteronomy 31:17,18, Deuteronomy 32:20, Deuteronomy 34:10, Judges 6:22, 1Kings 13:6, 1Chronicles 16:11, 2Chronicles 7:14, 2Chronicles 30:9, Psalms 13:1, Psalms 17:5, Psalms 22:24, Psalms 105:4, Isaiah 54:8, Isaiah 59:2, Jeremiah 21:10, Ezekiel 20:35,

    Perhaps it's the word "man" that the emphasise is. Romans 8:14, Galatians 4:6, Hebrews 12:7, John 1:12, Philippians 2:15, 1John 3:1,2 , 1John 4:15, How sad it is when a living father says "see his face no more" or turns his face.

    Genesis 3:8-10, interestingly, in this translation it says they heard "the voice of the LORD" they "hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God"

    What's amazing is: Genesis 4:16, it appears even though they were cast out of the garden GOD's presence was still with them.

    Psalms 62:2,5,8, 2Samuel 22:3,31,

    Job 4:17-21,

    Psalms 17:7, Psalms 25:2, Psalms 31:19,

    Psalms 40:4, Psalms 44:6, Psalms 49:6,7,

    Luke 14:26, trust GOD 1st & only yet honor them, this may be when there is contradiction to GOD's will & commandments. Even Jesus faced those struggles with earthly parents & family. Mark 3:20,21, Mark 3:31-35, John 7:3-5, Luke 2:42-52,

    And who determines what clothing is strictly for men and what is strictly for women? The Bible does not itemize what is men's or women's clothing. Each culture throughout time has its own norms, and these norms can differ between cultures of the same time period. Something to think about.

    I know. Last I checked, teenagers don't want to work to buy their own clothes. So it's the parents who $buy$ those clothes.

    How have we become so weak and malleable that we trade cash in hand for 2 hrs of peace?

    Our mother had the answer! Housework, laundry, cooking for 7 people, free lawn care, free babysitting and more!

    Lev. And Deu. Outline cycles of correction. If parents don't love their kids by correcting them: God corrects the parents in cycles. Each worse than the last one. The final cycle being that the children consume the parents. [live at home till they're 40, take money for nothing, etc]. It's meant to be painful enough for parents to change. Listen to God. He's trying to help us.

    Yes I trained my kid the same way. He bought his first house at 21. He launched himself.

    Thank you for those extra thoughts, sister. I thought to check further when pants/trousers were first seen. Wikipedia tells me that the first sign of this was in (what is now) Western China & was dated between the 10th & 13th Centuries BC (this was learned from digging through ancient cemetries & the pants were made of wool, with straight legs & wider/loose fit nearer the hips).

    And there have been various forms of pants, worn by both men & women, ever since. Though the wearers were initially criticized for wearing such strange apparel, it slowly became acceptable in society over the centuries. But you're correct that forms of the tunic & pants are still worn today, an example of which is seen in Pakistan & parts of India, where both men & women wear the 'Shalwar Kamiz', meaning, a loose pleated pant with a separate long tunic reaching to knee length worn over the Shalwar; yet what is worn is clearly different in cut & design for the two genders.

    I agree. Look where we have come to in our present day. So many women dressing seductively. It is hard to tell the difference between the way a prostitute dresses and the way many women and teens dress. I pray for our culture swings back to modest dress styles. But, in this time in history, I am thinking it may get even worse.

    This customary law in Deuteronomy is interesting. How does it apply to us today. I think you explained it well. I do think that the clothing was similar. I do not think that men wore pants in those times. Most wore tunics. But in today's culture in our society, men and women are dressing similarly (like wit tunics in the past) with pants and shirts. I think the important takeaway is to dress with modesty, both men and women, and, both should not try to imitate the opposite sex in their appearance or persona.

    Hello. You maybe thinking of Deuteronomy 22:5: "The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God."

    If this is the verse in question, I understand that within the culture & acceptable norms for Israel, the sexes were not to resort to wearing the clothing that was appointed to the other sex. Even though their garments might have looked similar (as it probably did in those days), there would have been a clear distinction (whether by its cut or pattern) that differentiated between the two.

    Today, a kilt is sometimes worn in Scotland & though one could consider it a type of skirt for women, that culture allows for men to wear it & women to wear an ankle length tartan skirt. Likewise, trousers & jeans are common garb for both men & women in our culture, whereas if a man wears a woman's skirt & maybe with high heels, he may be considered highly suspect. So, if a woman chooses to wear trousers, unless having to wear special clothing on a work-site, her trousers would be specifically cut for a woman & a clear distinction is made & seen, as with all her clothing; though jeans are probably a neutral garment & therefore an exception.

    There are other (sort of) dress code scriptures. A Christian woman doesn't dress worldly; showing a lot of skin in too tight clothing. My opinion.
