    Psalms 25:14,

Secret - consultation, intimacy, Hebrew word translation into "cowd" company of persons (in close deliberation)

Virginia G. Cantu, Actually you've got it right, important part "GOD hates evil". Proverbs 3:32, Ecclesiastes 12:14. He also will direct us, & sometimes even give us insight into His plans. Psalms 73:24, Matthew 6:6, Deuteronomy 29:29, Psalms 91:1, Daniel 2, Daniel was given the secret dream the ruler had & the interpretation meaning. Amos 3:7,

Even the secret of Christ Jesus the promised Messiah= Romans 16:24-27,

    Psalm 25.

Let us start this commentary on verse 14. We are reminded here of the verse in Deuteronomy 29:29 about the secret things of the Lord that we are NOT to know. There are other verses that state what is seemingly the opposite (namely; Proverbs 25:2) which states that it is the honor of kings for such matters to be revealed. Since we are "kings and priests" in the Lord; therefore we are given some comprehension of such mysteries. ( Rev. 5:10).

Two major themes here relate to the fear of the Lord (in the verses 12-14) and not harboring sins (verses 1-7). Meek individuals (verse 8) remind us of the verse in the Gospels stating that the "meek shall inherit the earth" ( Matthew 5:5). Verse 10 also brings up the concept of those keeping His covenant (not stated which covenant) as well as those who keep "his testimonies." Obviously; the word of our testimony ( Rev. 12:11) is vital which involves confessing with our mouth as well as our heart. Trust is also a theme here of importance (verse 2 as well as verse 20). The last verse talks of Israel as a whole; which in context could refer to David's descendants or the eventual plan at the end of the age where it is restored to the position originally intended.

Finally; patience in waiting on God is noted in verses 5 and 21. There are numerous references in scripture on that subject as a fruit; as one type of crown being given as a reward for those who wait patiently for the coming of the Lord ( James 5:7; etal). When we see such great wickedness around today such as was in the time of Lot and Noah we need to keep in focus the big picture.

    Kurt,

Here is a scripture I just found for you : Psalms 25:16-18

I believe you can forgive now. Matthew 6:14, Mark 11:25,

In the last few years GOD has placed forgiveness on my thoughts for people, some had already passed. Some wrongs I had forgotten but as I remembered, GOD would remind me to forgive.

There are moments we have deep regrets, especially when a loved one is passed on. I have prayed similarly as you & felt peace because nothing is impossible with GOD, Luke 1:37, Mark 10:27, Luke 18:27, Matthew 19:26,

Since I ran out of space I thought I'd add one more comment.

The #1 criticism often received is someone claims I don't believe in grace or that I believe we're saved by effort. That is a strawman argument and is untrue. The Bible says Christ followers will be saved by grace, not by works. That is not what is being contested.

Just because we will be saved by grace doesn't mean we should stop obeying Christ! It doesn't mean we should stop following Christ! The fruit of faith is works. A Christian is a Christ follower and if someone doesn't follow Christ they by definition are not even a Christian. And if not a Christian, that person should not expect the benefits of salvation. Matthew 7:21. Many will feel very entitled but will be shocked they aren't welcomed. This is the wake up call many need right now. Get right with the Lord today before its too late!

A Christ follower is action. Those who aren't actively following Christ are may not be Christ followers. And just because we're imperfect and fall down from time to time doesn't mean we're not Christians. This is very different from someone turning their backs on Jesus and following the pleasures of the world (satan). But Jesus said He would go after the lost sheep, not lost wolves! Many people assume they're followers because a pastor told them so, but are instead lost wolves expecting all the benefits of salvation for doing nothing. God bless.

    People have freewill:

    Psalms 25:12

Joshua 24:15 "choose you this day whom ye will serve"

    Cowboy:

The old was a shadow of the new.

In the OLD the blood was applied to the house and death PASSED over.

In the NEW Christ's blood was applied to the house and death PASSED over.

You will either be in the first resurrection TO LIFE, never seeing death or:

You will see death and latter be resurrected to life, to be judged.

Either way DEATH was DESTROYED by Christ's resurrection.

All is the WORKS OF GOD, man INHERITS God's works.

Revelations 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Psalms 25:13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and HIS SEED shall INHERIT the earth.

There are many sources of information on the internet to gain understanding about Him. The primary source is the Bible. There are also many God has appointed along the way to now that have given gifts to explain spiritual truths.

I just have one warning, there is also a lot of error proposed on the internet, so I suggest you ask God to send you to the right information and people. I hope you will soon find a pastor and a church family that can guide you as well (if you are not in a church congregation yet.)

Thank you so much for that. Sometimes I'll be honest my surroundings either in work or at home can be very frustrating at times but I am reminded of Psalms 25:4 .. I have to wait for him more and just go like the wind goes. Sometimes we don't understand the will of God but we have to trust in his plan so we can share with others the gospel. Sometimes I feel like maybe I'm not doing enough or even sometimes I feel like he's not there you know ? But I realize right after he's always there. When I feel down he's there. When I make my bed he's there. I just want more of his fullness. I love him and I just don't want to fail or not be brave

So I know this kid who believes that they are saved by salvation. And I explain to him (in a nice way) why that is incorrect. And they still are so set in their ways. Should i keep trying to explain why you are saved through faith and not through works or should I just give up?
