Why do we celebrate Jesus Birthday on the 25th of December when He doesn't tell us when He was born? We are not suppose to celebrate His Birthday or He would have told us the date He was bprn. Why are we putting a Christmas tree up in our house and decorating it with garland and glass Balls when God plainly tells us

what he is going to do with that tree when he comes and it won't be good. Why are we celebrating Christs birthday on a Pagen Holiday. Why did we follow the Catholic church when they chose Sunday to be the Sabbath day when the Sabbath is clearly on Saturday.

what is the meaning of"poor in spirit" matthew5:3
  • GiGi - In Reply - 2 years ago
    Hi, Margo,

I have heard the phrase interpreted several different ways.

I think that it refers to someone who is humble before God and willing to serve others. Also, someone who recognizes their sorrowful sinful estate and looks to God for remedy. Another angle is that it refers to a state of mind that is not prideful, haughty, arrogant, or conceited, therefore having a measured self view. Not one of hating self, or putting one's self down, but of not having too high of view of self and willing to put other's needs before their own, as opposed to having self-interest at the forefront.

This forum doesn't allow websites to be posted, however, if you go to you tube and search "Getting the Pigs Off the Altar' - Jed Baptist, look for Part 3, on Christmas. It is the best documentary I've ever seen on Christmas. I've studied that topic quite a bit for a good number of years. The pastor does a tremendous job with facts, photos and other visual aids not only in this, but the whole series.
