Natsiq, the way I understand this part of Prov 1, is that firstly, a warning is given to not be swayed by evil intentioned people to join them in their crimes (v 10). Their enticement comes skilfully (vv 11-14). But Wisdom speaks to not walk with them to pursue evil (v 16) & then a truth is given in vv 17, 18: "Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird." This can be said in another easier way to understand: 'these wicked people are behaving foolishly, just as if a person trying to trap a bird sets out the trap (net) right in front of the bird. The bird who sees this trap is more wiser by not going near the trap than these wicked people who don't realize that they themselves will suffer in the end (getting caught in the net themselves), whether by the justice system & most certainly by God in judgement'.
Gee, virse 19 describes the Democratic party, especially Nancy Pelosi . matter a fact the whole chapter describes the mental condition of those that hate God and his word. God please cleanse the United States of this attitude.
Where applicable: referring to the people of verse 10-19 above. It appears their heart, mind, works, are almost identical to the 2-riders of the white and red horse found in opening of seal 1 and 2 of Revelation 6:1-4, because a sinful greed, working through the lust of the flesh, eye, proud of life, fueled both of these groups back then and also in 2020.
yes--believe, trust, and obey His commandants. God is long suffering so you should be also. As the song says "we are patiently waiting for Jesus to come". He will only forsake you if you forsake Him but He will always take you back through repentance. To remind Him of His promises is to know what His promises are. Talk to Him--He listens.
Proverbs one I think is for wisdom and knowledge and truth either you serve and love Satan or serve and love the Lord teaches us to abide in wisdom but as for me and my house I will serve the lord
We just have to fashion our lives in line with the Word of God. As long as we do that, we will live in the "Blessing". I see a similarity with psalm 1. For God to help us to flourish and enjoy peace, we must reject the views and opinions of the wicked and check all our actions to ensure they are in tune with what the Word of God says.
Verse 8~Jehovah God has given parents the authority to properly discipline their children and he expects children to listen to their parent's instructions.

Common Sense and Wisdom do Go together. One without The Other May Keep You Going to The ER. The Rest of Us Dying with Laughter. We All have that Reaction Sometimes, it's Automatic. I was Guilty a Few Times had to Ask Forgiveness for Laughing/ Proverbs 2:6 For The LORD giveth Wisdom: Out of His Mouth Cometh Knowledge and Understanding. Wisdom is Found All through Proverbs. The book of Proverbs is one of my favorite books in the Bible because it is to the point and it tells precisely that wisdom and common sense are very much related to the same meaning that one coincides with the other.
Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? Ezekiel 33:11
they flatter themselves in their sinful ways, and I see so called Christians embracing sinful ways excepting them as well, Christ walked with the sinners to lead them from their sin, as we all should as well, love thy neighbor is not walking with ignorance of the word, for that will not save them from hell, Pray for them that their eyes be opened and their hearts be filled with the spirit
Is there just one Godly spirit here? A spirit of God confesses that Jesus Christ himself, even the Christ child, now walks in his own flesh this very day. Not one confession has posted. But a confession need not post for God the Father to hear it. Nor must my sayings post for the godly to hear them. Amen and Amen

Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices." There is no SIGN given to those who refuse knowledge. Mt. 13:11
@Sinner82 He took no pleasure in destroying the whole world with water save 8 people, he created us to be his children. It is ultimately our choice to serve him or not, however, we must be willing to face the consequences of our actions. Just as our laws have consequences for unlawfulness so does our God. Throughout the Bible, the word "if" can be found at least 1500 times. It is our choice!
I thank God, for all of the books and chapters of the bible. Proverbs 1:1-33, reflects on how God, would that everyone choose wisely, and embrace wisdom. He, expresses how disobedient ppl will end. It has only 1msg; submit to Him, and enjoy a life of insight and integrity.
